Class 1 Cornwall Residential

June 16, 2017Jo Hussain

Pupils in Class 1 enjoyed a super Cornwall experience.

The children started the visit with a trip to Bodmin Jail, which linked nicely to their topic of Crime and Punishment. This was followed by a Flambards and a cinema visit, a trip to an escape room – where the children needed to think strategically to solve the clues and then on to an art gallery showing works linked to light.

On Thursday the children also had the opportunity to take part in a Barbara Hepworth sculpture workshop and we spent some time enjoying group activities on the beach.

The trip home was enhanced with a stop at Gwithian Surf Academy for a morning learning to surf!

The children were able to enhance their history, art and science skills on the trip, along with having plenty of exercise and team building experiences.
