As part of our commitment to offering high quality art experiences across the school Class 1 have had the opportunity to work with a professional artist learning the skill of screen printing.
The Helen Foundation very kindly made a donation towards the cost of the artist and our PFA contributed towards the cost of materials.
Children have been studying Italian architecture as part of our Art unit this term and they have been exploring patterns strong shapes, such as arches and columns.
We built on this knowledge during the printing workshop and the children experienced both screen printing and mono block printing.
Everyone had a super day and every child was able to produce a great piece of art and feel proud of their achievements.
