As part of our work on Celebrations in RE we found out about the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
We spent a day learning about some of the traditions of this celebration helped by Angela Howell, one of our governors.
She kindly brought in lots of artefacts and decorations to share with us and the class began to look very red!
We made dragons, lanterns and lucky envelopes and we learned the story of how the years were named after 12 animals who had a race.
We finished the day with an assembly where we shared what we had found out about Chinese New year with the rest of the school.
