Our youngest learners were treated to an engaging workshop on habitats, coupled with an interactive tour of the aquarium. The highlight? Meeting Roger the Octopus and discovering his remarkable anatomy – three hearts and six brains!
Class 2, comprising Years 2, 3, and 4, donned their scientist hats for a thought-provoking workshop on plastic pollution. They delved into the contents of a simulated sperm whale’s stomach, uncovering the harsh reality of plastic waste in our oceans. This experience sparked meaningful discussions about single-use plastics and their impact on marine life.
The day’s excitement peaked with the use of VR headsets, transporting our pupils into a submarine adventure. They encountered awe-inspiring creatures like sperm whales, giant squids, and angler fish, bringing the wonders of the deep sea to life.
This captivating trip not only enhanced our pupils’ scientific knowledge but also fostered a deeper appreciation for our oceans and the urgent need for their conservation.
