On Thursday the children in Class 3 were visited by an old friend… Sally! She came in to talk to the children about her childhood toys, her time at school and the games she used to play.
In Class 3 we are looking at toys from the past, starting with toys from within living memory. Sally brought in fantastic toys such as ‘cat’s cradle’ ‘french skipping’ and a wonderful ‘spirograph’ for the children to have a look at. She then helped us to make our own snap dragons and spinning wheels!
It was super for the children to see how toys have changed over time, and to hear their exclamations of, ‘is that it?!’ ‘How do you use that?’ A big thank you to Sally for coming in and sharing her toys, a super start to our topic.
