Class 1 spent a day last week learning about King Charles and the process of his Coronation. They thought about the things King Charles should focus on during his reign and we had lots of discussions about the thing causes he passionate about, such as, the environment, organic farming, architecture, the arts and an inclusive society.
We then entered a competition to design a bench to sit at the Tower of London, depicting what we felt symbolised King Charles III and the direction his reign should take.
We were delighted to be informed that one of our deisgns made it into the top 50, but unfortunately it didn’t quite make the it to the last 15.
It was however a super experience for the children to explore and find out about King Charles life so far and think about the future monarch.
