As we reached the end of the half term, we invited everyone to join in with our ‘Wear it Pink’ day. Thank you to all who took part and showed their support so warmly.
Our pupils also took part in a kindness chain. Each pupil wrote kind acts or supportive words onto paper strips, which were then linked together into a growing paper chain. This positive reinforcement activity was a joy to see, and the chain became a visible reminder of the difference kindness makes.
We chose to support Breast Cancer Awareness because it touches the lives of so many people around us. We want to encourage all the adults in our community to check themselves regularly, as early detection is key. Approximately 1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Each year, 59,000 women are diagnosed, which is one every 10 minutes, and 420 men are also diagnosed.
Thank you to everyone who donated. Your generosity means we have raised £125 for this very worthwhile cause.
