Class 2 recently transformed their classroom into a bustling Bronze Age market. Pupils traded copper (represented by Lego), stone tools (colouring pencils) and cloth (pieces of paper) as they worked together to make sure their village had everything it needed to get through the winter.
The activity sparked some wonderful oracy. Pupils bartered with one another and took on roles, which helped them understand just how important markets were to everyday life in the Bronze Age. It was a fantastic example of learning brought to life.
Well done, Class 2!
