Our recent Harvest Festival at St Mary’s Church, Cofton was a truly special occasion. The church was filled to the brim with pupils, parents, and friends, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere.
Our pupils beautifully shared their thoughts on harvest, recognising the incredible hard work of farmers who ensure we have food on our tables. Rev Linda delivered a fascinating talk, exploring words within ‘harvest’ – highlighting ‘eat’, ‘tea’, and ‘share’ in a way that captivated our young learners.
The morning was crisp and perfect, with autumn’s gentle touch surrounding us. Our youngest pupils were an absolute delight, performing the song ‘Big, Red Combine Harvester’ – an impressive feat for children who have only been with us for a couple of weeks.
We were overwhelmed by the community’s generosity. Our call for food bank donations was met with tremendous support, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone’s contributions.
A special thank you to Val and Ruth, who always make us feel so welcome at the church. This annual service truly remains one of the highlights of our school year.
